Unibanco and Unibanco Holdings - Stocks

Unibanco in 1997 was the first Brazilian private bank to list Level 3 ADR on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Unibanco stock is also actively traded at Bolsa de Valores de São Paulo (Bovespa), where it has been listed since 1968. The bank is subject to the regulations of both the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Comissão de Valores Mobiliários (CVM).

In 2004 the company took several steps to increase the liquidity of its stock in Brazil:

The minimum lot of Unibanco and Unibanco Holdings shares traded at Bovespa was reduced, in January, to 10,000 from 100,000.

Early in May, Unibanco contracted LatinFinance Advisory and Research S.A. as Assessor and Ágora Senior Corretora de Títulos e Valores Mobiliários S.A. as market maker. The market maker is an independent brokerage firm that handles Units bids and offers throughout Bovespa's trading sessions.

On August 31, Unibanco and Unibanco Holdings stock underwent a reverse stock split, on a 100:1 basis.
