The Wholesale credit outstandings, including debentures and guarantees, totaled
R$23.6 billion at year-end 2004. As a BNDES (Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento
Econômico e Social) financial agent, Unibanco disbursed in 2004 R$1.6 billion
in loans, reaching the third position in BNDES' ranking. It was also the first
operator in exim lines, for financing exports of goods and services, with
R$857 million balance in the period.
Loan intermediation for multilateral agencies totaled R$116.9 million in 2004.
Unibanco also acted as a financial agent for Caixa Econômica Federal funds
for investment in basic sanitation projects, disbursing R$46.3 million.
