As part of the celebration of Unibanco's 80th anniversary, the Educação Ambiental sobre Rodas (Environmental Education on Wheels) was launched in early August.

Three sets of two semi-trucks crisscrossed the country with presentations of interactive exhibits and videos on conservation to students and teachers. The themes chosen were biodiversity, water, air, waste, energy and sustainable consumption. The stops were programmed with the support of each local Education department.

Nelson Freire concerts

Pianist Nelson Freire played in two public concerts sponsored by Unibanco. In São Paulo, he performed to over 10,000 people at the Ibirapuera park with São Paulo Symphony Orchestra, conducted by John Neschling. In Belo Horizonte, the concert took place at the Palácio das Artes, this time with Minas Gerais Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Marcelo Ramos.

The Rights of Children, a musical

Unibanco in 2004 also sponsored a tour of The Rights of Children musical, presented to packed theaters, reaching an audience of more than 100,000 people in São Paulo, Campinas, Ribeirão Preto, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, Santos, Florianópolis and Porto Alegre.
